Dec 1, 2021 · The purpose of the edge is to launch big pills so grab some SMK's, tipped SMK's or berger EH in 300 grains. I shoot R-P brass in my rum with no issues. I did loose a little velocity as my nitrided barrel "broke" back in. These loads did apper to be max in my rifle.The 338 LM will match the EDGE in velocity but will need an action that will feed the fatter case. Now if you go to DE for this rifle you have the option of either the 338 EDGE +P or the 338 Terminator +P. Those both will get you more velocity than their non +P offerings.Location. USA. Best groups of 3 at 100 yards were 1.1 moa. Velocity was very good with an average for the 100 gr load of 2950 fps from a 26" Brux 1 in 10 twist 6 land barrel. Recoil is easy on the edge with a brake- I am learning to "manage" the back blast. I have been using Nosler and RP brass so far with good success- the Nosler has been a bit soft in the primer pockets for my hot loads.
