Like., A completely matching barrelled action is a good thing with hopefully no polishing, buffing and rebluing, however that early of a K98 would have had numbered stock and upper wood, numbered bands, floorplate/triggerguard and such, so to restore it would be best to used unnumbered replacement parts which are not easy to find.The rifle cannot be brought back to textbook correct condition., 1939 Mod 98 Code ‘243’ 8mm Mauser. I am looking for as much input & information I can get about this gun, such as the manufacturer, origin, value etc... Its my grandpas old firearm that he brought home from Germany after fighting in the Battle of Bulge during WW2. All serial numbers match & I believe it’s still the original finish ...
