there is 3 tiers of killstreak and they work on all weapon types. normal which just counts kills. specialized which adds a colored sheen to the weapon. professional which adds a colored sheen to the weapon and an eye effect of the same color which gets visible at 5 kills and the max at 10 kills.Into the console.
