Apr 11, 2002 · I was looking through my 1969 Camaro Reference Book and wrote down some numbers to look for which a couple of them were the intake manifold casting # 3932472 and the cylinder head casting # 3927186 like you mentioned. The other numbers were the distributor # 1111480 and the (3) possible engine casting #'s 3932386, 3956618, and 3970010.

Go 30 over this time and then 10 over for each rebuilt after. If you go 60 over now then when it comes time to rebuild you will be screwed and have to buy a new block. I just picked up a SBC 3970010 4-bolt block. Mortech lists this as a 69 327 or a 69-80 350., The number itself can have 6, 7 or 8 numeral digits. They might look like this “361959” or “3970010” or “14015445”. The block casting numbers do not have any letters in them. There are sometimes other individual letters found on blocks like “GM” or “CFD” for the Central Foundry Division, but they are not part of the block ..., Restore60s said: Original starter number for your block is #119497. Walked out to the shop & wrote the number down.---:thumbup: Kind of a broad statement. 4 starters for any given chevy small block. 153 tooth flexplate. 168 tooth flexplate. 153 tooth flywheel., The casting number is 3970010, and the code stamp/suffix is V0709HV. From what I found the casting number indicates it is 1969-79 350ci for a car, truck, or Vette. But then the suffix code indicates it was built July 09, 1965 and is from a 327ci Vette.
