I went to 4 cm dilated at 37 weeks, they monitored me for a couple hours after that appt but since I wasn’t having consistent ..., 29 weeks and 1 cm dilated. Baby’s head is resting right on my cervix and feels like he’s going to fall right out. My cervix is measuring about 3.25 cm, so my doctor isn’t immediately concerned… but I am. My first was born at 36 weeks and never dilated anywhere near this early. She’s not a big proponent of bed rest or progesterone shots., Dilation has progressed from last week. I chose to do cervical checks I know it doesn’t necessary indicate when birth is coming but I like to know. Last week at 36 weeks I was 1.5 cm 0% effaced and today at 37 weeks I’m 3 cm and 60% effaced so I do feel that is some progress.
