Got the Eye of Cthulu after a few tries (and like 10 times it spawned and killed me), and the Slime King after quite a lot of attempts. Grey Zapinator with Jungle armor has done the trick for those two. Right now I'm working on Eater of Worlds, Brain of Cthulu, and Queen Bee., Pattern is the same as in expert/master. Difference only in stats (more HP, a lot more contact damage) but be aware that almost every fishron attack does contact damage (for example bubbles are NPCs that deals contact damage, not projectiles).
