Remove the valve cover. Set the valves at the position in which ther is the most clearance between the rocker arm and the pushrod. Adjust the adjusting nut on the rocker arm till you have .004" clearance...then tighen the nut. Do the same for both valves. Then spin the motor over a few times and then recheck the clearances.
