Is staccato worth it. The Staccato 2011s have a number of models, including a concealed carry model, full size model, and what we're going to talk about today, the Staccato P. Most people don't realize that there is a pretty big difference between a 2011 and a 1911, and we did a quick article on it.

Staccato was the first and still the only manufacture legally able to use the 2011 name. While there are far nicer 2011's on the market, I do love my XC and XL. ... A bulk of the Prodigy issues seem to be worked out since the release. As mentioned Bul seems to be the way to go if you need a Stac alternative. If you plan on growing a collection of 2011's, I would consider that the Bul mags don't crossover to many current 2011 guns. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.The CS is a little bit snappier than the C2, but fits better in the hand for many and is a little easier to conceal. As for the magazines, the C2 is compatible with the rest of the Staccato family while the CS is not. It's almost certain that future models will have the CS magazine, as it is thinner with same capacity.

I have a Staccato C dpo with the Dawson optic plate for the RMRCC. I need to swap the front carry sized sight for a proper co witness. My Staccato P dpo came with tactical front sights and my trijicon RMR co witness was right on with the Dawson optic plate. Hopefully my experience so far with the Staccato dpo options help.An upgraded mag catch came with the release of the Gen 2 Staccato grips. That was to help with the overinsertion problem that STI's and 2011's in general had been plagued by for years. It did help but did noy completely stop that from happening. Also worth mentioning - the XC has a 9 lb recoil spring in it. I believe the stock spring was 8 lbs. Although I haven't had a single malfunction with it, I did notice the slide hesitating when feeding flat-nosed and HP ammo. A 9mm 2011 is already on the low end of recoil. I would go with the P. The optics ready slide and flush fit compensator look really cool on the XC, but $3600 seems a bit steep for that., For 2020, the STI Staccato P will be stretched out to 4.4 inches, bringing it in line with other popular handguns in this class. That is, the actual sound may not last that long, but the performer should still allow that amount of time.
