Jan 25, 2010. #1. I pulled the engine, split the cases, and milled a few pockets with a 1/2" end mill to collect oil. Then drilled a 3/16" hole to direct oil onto the gear that drives the water pump shaft, and another to direct oil behind the bushing in the oil delete kit. You could do all this work with a die grinder and a hand drill.

The Injection system mixes anywhere from 50:1 to 75:1 depending on throttle position. If your pump linkage gets sticky just clean the assembly and spray it with WD40. 32:1 is too rich on oil which will make the engine run lean on gas. Unless you re-adjust your carb for the new mix.First, have a look at this picture. All you do is remove the oil pump, #18. Posted November 21, 2011. That's the tube that runs from the pump to the oil-injection nipple on the carb. Normally, this has a brass sleeve on it that keeps it from getting yanked off the carb by accident. I would head to the hardware store with that tube in hand and get an petroleum compatible tube to replace it.
