If i remember correctly the 10/63's were made out of surplus parts, whereas the 10's are new production parts. I bought a WASR10 about 8 or 9 years ago. It was about $150 cheaper than the SAR1. You used to be able to get the SAR 1,2 and 3 at any gun store. A WASR 10/63 would have been built from a demilled military Md63 that was factory rebuilt/assembled onto a WASR receiver. Possible to have canted sights or other issues, but I'd say less likely that the earlier WASR rifles made in the mid 2000's. From what I recall most of the 10/63 rifles were brought in from about 2010 - 2013.The wasr's with triangles are 10/63's, which havent been imported since 2013 I believe. I love both of my WASR'S. My "10" I bought in late 2004 after the ban 14 years ago is still shooting. like a champ. My "10/63" I got this past July is even better. I was shooting 1 to 1 1/2" groups with. it all day at 50yds using iron sights only and Wolf MC FMJ 124gr. I added a Meridian Defense BD2-AK muzzle.It’s an older WASR-10.
